Windows® systems must meet the following requirements:
- 333 MHz or faster IBM-compatible computer (Pentium® or better) with an available built-in USB port and a CD-ROM drive. Note: Add-in USB cards are not supported. If the system is using a USB hub, it must be a powered USB hub.
- Color monitor with 800x600 resolution or better that support 16-bit color, Microsoft® Windows® 98 (second edition), Windows® 2000, or Windows® XP Professional.
- 128 MB RAM Windows® 98; 256 MB of RAM for Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP.
- For classroom or network client installations, 60 MB of free disk space for the LeapTrack software and 200 MB per classroom kit.
Macintosh® systems must meet the following requirements:
- Mac® OS 10.2, 10.3, or 10.4 operating system software.
- Macintosh® 233 MHz G3 computer or higher with an available built-in USB port and a CD-ROM drive. Note: Add-in USB cards are not supported. If the system is using a USB hub, it must be a powered USB hub.
- Color monitor with 800x600 resolution or better that supports 16-bit color
- 128 MB RAM
- 60 MB of free disk space for the LeapTrack application, and 200 MB free disk space per classroom kit
Recommendations for Server Computers running LeapTrack version 4.1
- 3.0 GHz or faster IBM-compatible computer (for example Pentium® )
- Windows® XP, Windows® 2000, or Windows® Server
- 2 GB of RAM
- 3 GB of free disk space.
Strongly recommended for both Windows and Macintosh systems: A printer If the computer running the LeapTrack application is connected to a printer, the user can print reports. Otherwise, reports appear only on the screen.
Recommended for both Windows and Macintosh systems: An Internet connection If the computer running the LeapTrack application has access to the Internet, the user can check periodically for product updates.
