LeapTrack Error Message |
| Symptom / Question |
I have an error that says "LeapTrack cannot connect to the database as specified by the DSN"
| Solution |
Have your School or District Tech Coordinator or IT Professional test the settings on your computer's installed anti-virus or firewall software. The communication path that LeapTrack uses to connect to its database is likely being blocked by another software package on the computer.
| Important Notes: |
- To ensure that LeapTrack can connect to its database, check that Communication Port 33306 is set to "open communication" in your anti-virus, personal firewall, or Windows® Firewall settings.
- As an alternative, double check that the "LeapTrack Server Service" is '"Running" in your Windows® Services Panel. This panel can be found by going to 'Start Menu' -> 'Run...', type "services.msc"
- As an alternative, double check that ODBC Settings in the Windows® Administrative Tools are correctly set. These are set automatically upon the installation of LeapTrack, and can vary based upon a Classroom or Client version of LeapTrack installation.
